2000 Chrysler Sebring with Check Engine Light ON.

My 2000 Sebring's Check Engine Light is on. What should I do? Should I take my car to the mechanic first or after I take my car to get the smog check?

Definitely get the Check Engine light problem on your 2000 Chrysler Sebring fixed before you visit a smog check station. Your Sebring will fail the smog check because the check engine light is on. You have to get it fixed first. A smog check repair shop will extract the trouble codes stored in your Chrysler's engine computer, and using the trouble code/s can locate the problem causing the check engine light to illuminate and fix the problem.
