1980 Toyota Corolla - California Vehicle Buy Back Program Question.

Do I have to pay my dmv registration fees if they come due while I applied to buy back option and am waiting for an approval?
Answer:

You don't have to pay the registration renewal fees right away for your Toyota when you receive the registration renewal forms from the DMV. But you can't let your Toyota's tags expire either. Vehicles with expired registration are not eligible for the buy back program. So basically wait until the actual due date of the registration renewal notice. If you haven't heard back from the buy back department by then, make sure to pay your renewal fees. Do not let your Toyota's registration lapse. The BAR will deny your Vehicle Retirement Application.
