1996 Honda Accord LX - Selling it, will it need a smog test?
I live in an area that is relatively remote and not impacted by smog, so in the past I have not been required to have smog tests. Now that I am selling my 1996 Honda Accord I am wondering if I need to have it smog tested. Thanks, Whitney Meier Answer:
Yes, you will need to have your 1996 Honda Accord smog checked before you
can legally sell it. It appears you live in a county which falls under the
"Change-of-Ownership" requirement. This means a smog check for you Honda is
not required biennially, but it is required when you plan on selling it. The smog certificate which will be issued to your Honda will be valid for 90 days for registration purposes.
