Do I need to send my car's smog check report to the DMV?

I passed my smog check yesterday. Do I need to smog certificate VIR to the DMV or does the smog test center send that information in for me?

Your smog check results are automatically sent to the DMV via through the smog check machine. Hold on to the Vehicle Inspection Report or smog certificate given to you by the smog station. This document is for your records. posted by SmogTips Support
