1982 VW Westphalia Camper Diesel - Does it need a smog check?

Do I have to get a smog check for this old of a car? It won't pass as it is diesel.

No smog check will be required for your 1982 VW Camper. Only 1998 and newer diesel cars and trucks which weigh under 14,500 GVW currently require diesel smog checks. posted by SmogTips Support
