DMV Does Not Show Record Of My Smog Test

I just passed the smog check. I went online to make payment for full renewal of registration, I was informed that I have to wait till the smog check is done, otherwise they will send me a conditional renewal with instructions on how to complete the full renewal, but not online. So, I'm going to wait. How long does it take for the bureaucracy to confirm receipt of smog, so I can complete the full renewal online?

The smog station which inspects your vehicle electronically sends the smog check results to the DMV. Even though the transmission is in real-time, it usually take the DMV 24 hours to propagate the information and post the smog check results to your vehicle's registration record. For this reason, it's best to wait a day after your smog test to complete the renewal online.
